SENIOR KERRI KWASEK NAMED MUSTANG OF THE WEEK

Whether it's at the plate or on the mound, senior softball captain Kerri Kwasek (Framingham, MA/Framingham) did it all this week helping her team to a 5-5 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) record in 10 games during a seven day stretch.  In 28 at bats in 10 games, Kwasek belted 13 hits, including two double and two homeruns, good for five RBI's.  She did not suffer one strikeout in any contest during the week and drew four walks. 

Kwasek has also been outstanding on the mound going 5-1 this week for Mount Ida, all the victories coming on conference game days putting the Mustangs in a tie for seventh place in the GNAC standings.  Her ERA is impressive at 2.44 for the season surrendering 22 earned runs in only 11 games during 63.0 inning stretch for the year.  Mount Ida softball will have the entire week off with GNAC action resuming on Friday against visiting Simmons College for another double dip starting at 3:00 p.m.
