SENIOR BRETT CONLEY COLLECTS MUSTANG OF THE WEEK

Senior captain Brett Conley (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Warde) passed the all-time leader in points this past week in the Mount Ida College men's lacrosse record books with 221 points after netting his final goal against Curry College in the season opener in a four score performance and a 13-12 double overtime victory for the Mustangs.  Conley passes John Lightbown (Melrose, MA/Melrose) who broke the record last season in the final year of play ending at 221 points. Conley now stands at 223 points with six goals and two assists in a 1-1 week for the Mustangs. 

The Mustangs traveled to Kean University this past weekend in New Jersey where Conley scored two goals along with one assist in a 12-7 non-conference loss.  Brett is also approaching the all-time leader for goals record, held by Lightbown with 144, standing at 138 after this weekend.  The Mustangs will head to Amherst College on Saturday in western Massachusetts for their next game starting at  1:00 p.m.
