BRIAN LEIGHTON NAMED GNAC GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK

Senior captain Brian Leighton (Turner, ME/Leavitt Area) led the Mustangs to their first ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tournament victory this Saturday over Suffolk University in Newton, Massachusetts.  He denied 12 shots along with a handful of very difficult saves from close range.  The Mustangs rounded out their season this past Tuesday losing in the semifinal round of the GNAC tournament to Norwich University 5-0 in Northfield, Vermont.  Mount Ida men's soccer had an outstanding season with an overall record of 9-6-4, 5-3-1 in conference play.
