JUNIOR CHERIE PARISI NAMED WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Junior forward Cherie Parisi (South Attleboro, MA/Attleboro) has been selected as athlete of the week for the Mount Ida College women's basketball program.  Parisi had an outstanding individual performance this past weekend in the Regis College tournament in Worcester, Massachusetts.  In game one action, she recorded a game high 20 points and eight rebounds in a tough 84-66 loss to the hosting Pride.  Game two she netted 14 points with six caroms in a 75-60 loss against New England College.  Parisi was named to the all-tournament team averaging 17 points a game throughout the weekend.  The Mustangs will host M.I.T. in their first home game of the season this coming Tuesday starting at 6:00 p.m.
