FRESHMAN JOHRONE BUNCH NAMED MUSTANG OF THE WEEK

Freshman Johrone Bunch (Meriden, CT/F.T. Maloney) sparked the Mount Ida College men's basketball team to a 2-1 record in non-conference action this past week.  In game one of three, Bunch tallied 17 points, four rebounds, and two blocks in a 76-67 victory over the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.  In game two, he registered his first double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 caroms in a 62-51 win over visiting Fisher College on Friday night.  The Mustangs traveled to division I Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York this Sunday losing 95-40.  Bunch had a team high 12 points with four boards.  Mount Ida men's basketball will host their final home game before the semester break in double header action with the women's team against non-conference Wheelock College this Tuesday starting at 5:30 p.m.
