SENIOR NICK FERRANTE NAMED MUSTANG OF THE WEEK

Senior defensive end Nick Ferrante (Patchogue, New York/Patchogue-Medford) is this week's (10/13/08) Mustang of the week from the Mount Ida football program.  Ferrante led the charge for the Mustang defense this past Saturday in a tough 40-8 loss to Utica College in Utica, NY.  Ferrante tallied five solo tackles along with two assists and a tackle for a loss of eight yards good for 4.5 sacks on the season for a total of 19 yards lost.  He also forced a fumble for the third time so far this season.  The Mustangs head to Springfield College to try and spoil their homecoming this Saturday with kickoff at 2:00 p.m.
