SENIOR NICK FERRANTE NAMED MUSTANG OF THE WEEK

Senior defensive end Nick Ferrante (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) has been selected as this week's "mustang-of-the-week" from the Mount Ida College football program.  Ferrante had a huge outing in a 38-7 victory over Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. this past Saturday notching eight tackles, five for a loss of 34 yards, two forced fumbles, and four sacks for 29 yards lost.  Ferrante tied former alumnus Brian Eyles, the leader for sacks in a game, in the Mount Ida record books when he tallied four sacks against Norwich University back on November 2, 2002.   Nick will be honored this coming Saturday on senior day when the Mustangs play host to SUNY Maritime.  Kickoff with be at 12:00 noon.
