JUNIOR NICOLE CASIMIRO WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Junior guard Nicole Casimiro (Lee, NH/Oyster River) notched double figures in three games this past week for the Mount Ida College women's basketball team.  Although her squad went 0-3 on the week, she helped power the Mustangs to a 21 point comeback against visiting Rivier College this past Saturday afternoon in Newton, Massachusetts in a tough 80-75 loss.  Casimiro had three good outing this past week starting with 11 points and three assists against Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) member Johnson & Wales University losing 85-66.  She would then notch 10 points and four caroms against Simmons College downed 57-37.  Her biggest game of the week was against the Raiders from Rivier College netting 20 points and six assists.  She was over 50 percent from the three point arc going 3-5 down the stretch.  The Mustangs will host non-conference Wheelock College this coming Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
