SOPHOMORE PAUL SHAUGHNESSY NAMED MUSTANG OF THE WEEK

Sophomore Paul Shaughnessy (Malden, MA/Northeast Regional) is this week's Mustangs of the week from the Mount Ida College football program. Shaughnessy took on the challenge at tailback for the first time this season at Becker College on Saturday and succeeded. On 18 carries, he would rush for 108 yards and one touchdown, his TD would come off a 54 yard scamper making it 19-0 in the opening of the second quarter. In the past 15 games over three seasons, Shaughnessy was the first 100 yard rusher for the football program since alumni Antwan Harris back on November 4, 2005 versus WPI. The Mustangs, who are on a two game winning streak, will host Husson College on homecoming weekend this Saturday starting at 1:00 p.m.
