SOPHOMORE BECKY TISBERT NAMED WOMEN'S SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Sophomore Rebecca Tisbert (Cambridge, VT/Lamoille Union) has been as solid as a rock in the sweeper position for the Mount Ida College women's soccer team this season.  She has made it difficult for opponents to get a crack on net with blazing speed and aggressive defensive play.  Although the Mustangs dropped two losses this week, they were against solid Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) competition.  Mount Ida had opportunities in both games to take the lead, but unfortunately no one could put a ball in net.  Its senior day this coming Thursday for women's soccer when they host Rivier College, a rescheduled rainout from earlier in the season, starting at 3:30 p.m.
