SHAUGHNESSY/SIMMONS SELECTED TO ECFC ALL-ACADEMIC
Two Mount Ida College football players have been named to the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) All-Academic team for the 2009 semester. Junior running back Paul Shaughnessy (Malden, MA/Northeast Regional) and sophomore tight end Sean Simmons (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) were the players recognized by the ECFC for their outstanding academic performances throughout last semester. Each student-athlete selected was required to reach a 3.5 or better grade point average and complete the entire season as a member of the Mount Ida College football family. Congratulations to these student-athletes on this wonderful accomplishment.
