BRIAN BINARI NAMED HEAD ATHLETIC TRAINER FOR 2011-12
Brian Binari has been promoted to Head Athletic Trainer for the Mount Ida College athletic department effective immediately. Binari was the assistant athletic trainer four years prior before landing the head position.
“It’s a great opportunity to become the head athletic trainer at Mount Ida College,” said Binari. “Kelly Morrison taught me a great deal in my four previous seasons in my assistant role and I am excited about the years ahead.”
“I care deeply about the students and the institution and know we will have a competitive and safe year,” said Binari.
Binari also works with the Intramural department during the school year running fitness programs for all students on campus. Binari will enter into his third season as assistant cross country coach.
He comes to the Mustangs from California University of Pennsylvania as a graduate assistant in their athletic training office.
He received a bachelor of science from Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts majoring in Sports Medicine. He recently was presented with his master's of science degree from California University of Pennsylvania. Performance enhancement specialist was primarily where he focused his attention.
Brian completed a workshop with the American Academy of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists to enhance his knowledge of proper eating habits and nutritional facts to aid in the wellness of the Mount Ida College community.
Brian was joined in marriage to his wife Cynthia in June 2010 and currently resides in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
