1) Financial Clearance
All student-athletes must be in good financial standing with a $0.00 dollar balance in order to attend training camp. College bills have been mailed to all registered students and are due on July 5th. Student-athletes that are not financially cleared by August 1st may have their invitation to training camp revoked. All questions regarding your financial standing should be directed to the Office of Student Financial Services at 617-928-4785.
2) NCAA Student-Athlete Compliance
All student-athletes are subject to the eligibility requirements of the NCAA. You must be registered as a matriculated baccalaureate student with full-time status (12 credits) and be in good academic standing as determined by College policy (unless you are an incoming freshman) and be cleared for NCAA eligibility in order to participate as a varsity athlete. Transfer students must notify the athletic office so that documented transfer eligibility can be determined.
3) Required Medical Forms for Participation in Athletics
Starting this summer, Mount Ida College will begin using an online health portal to house all medical information for students. Unlike previous years where paperwork was mailed, faxed, or submitted on check-in days, all health paperwork will now be filled out and stored electronically.
No student-athlete will be issued equipment or be allowed to practice unless all of these forms have been received by the athletics office. All questions regarding medical paperwork can be directed to the Head Athletic Trainer Katy Annunziata (email@example.com)
Medicat, an online health and medical website where information can be stored safely and electronically for medical personnel, is the new home for Mount Ida athletics paperwork.
All athletes must log onto the Medicat site: https://mtida.medicatconnect.com/
Use your MIWEB username and password to log on and submit all necessary paperwork for athletic clearance.
Instructions for submitting paperwork can be found here: http://mountidamustangs.com/Athletic_Training/Required_Medical_Forms
Mount Ida Physical Examination Form
The Mount Ida physical examination form must be used by all new and trnasfer student-athletes in order to participate in their intended sports. Returning student-athletes may use this form, or provide paperwork from their physician stating that they are cleared for participation. This form, or any other stating clearance, must be scanned into the Medicat website by all student-athletes.
Any other paperwork from the Medicat site that is printed to be filled out must be scanned back into Medicat in order to have a complete athletic account for participation. All paperwork should be filled out and submitted by July 30th, 2016 for all fall sports. In the event that a student-athlete does not have access to a scanner, they may bring printed paperwork to their sport's check-in day to be scanned in by the Mount Ida Athletic Training staff. Please make every effort to scan any paper documents into Medicat before bringing them to your sport's check-in day.
Any additional questions about Medicat can be directed to your respective coach or the Mount Ida Sports Medicine staff at (617) 928-7212.
