The 2007 men's lacrosse team is one of the most prominent teams in our program's history. The men's lacrosse program was and continues to be one of our most decorated programs, and that success is due in large part to the members of the 2007 lacrosse team. In 2007, this talented team won a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) championships, which earned them an automatic qualification to the NCAA tournament, which was the first appearance in Mount Ida program history.
The team finished with a 13-4 overall record, going 7-0 in the cooonference, and won the NAC Championship tournament, which was the fourth straight conference title for the program. OVer the period of 2004-2008, this group of athletes compiled an amazing 29-0 record against conference opponents. The 2007 season also featured a 12 game winning streak, culminating in a thrilling 11-10 overtime victory in the championship game against our then fiercest rival Castleton State College. The team then travelled to Middlebury in the first-ever appearance in the NCAA tournament.
Five members of this team were also recognized as members of the NAC All-Conference Team. These men set a standard of excellence for our program and have proven to not only be great contributors when they were athletes, but also active alums who continue to be connected to Mount Ida.
