MOUNT IDA FALL SPORTS SCHEDULES AVAILABLE ONLINE
The 2009 schedules for all Mount Ida College athletics fall sports are now posted online for viewing to all visitors. Although summer has not shown its full potential as of yet, the Mustangs are already looking forward to what hopes to be a very successful push in 2009-10. Mount Ida will be entering it's third season a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) in men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, women's cross country, along with first year varsity program women's tennis for the fall. The Mount Ida football family will be entering its first ever season as members of the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) along with seven other charter member schools (Gallaudet University, Anna Maria College, Castleton State College, Norwich University, Husson University, Becker College, and New York (SUNY) Maritime).
With the Mustangs home opener a little more than a month away, the schedules are now posted on www.mountidamustangs.com.
All six Mount Ida programs will begin their 2009 campaign the first week of September. Men's soccer will be first in action, traveling to Mass. Maritime on Tuesday, September 1st followed by women's volleyball traveling to Wheaton College Wednesday, September 2nd for a non-conference bid. The women's cross country team jumps out of the gate on Friday, September 4th at St. Joseph's College (ME). The remaining three teams will compete on Saturday, September 5th with football traveling to Bridgewater State and women's soccer heading to Lesley University. The first ever women's tennis match of the season will be held at Mount Ida on the 5th against the visiting Lesley University Lynx in non-conference action.
