WOMEN'S EQUINE PLACES THIRD IN OPENING SHOW OF SPRING
The Mount Ida College women's equestrian team traveled to Bates College for their first show of the spring season coming in third place with 37 total team points. The Mustangs and Head Coach Laura Reed saw numerous outstanding individual performances coming into the New Year with senior Lila Pemberton (Littleton, MA/Acton-Boxboro Regional) capturing first place in the open flat division and place second in open fences. Junior Lauren Gately (Rockland, Massachusetts/Norfolk County Agricultural/Rockland Regional) also enjoyed a solid overall showing in the open flat placing first in her division and a third place finish in open fences.
Sophomore Lillian Robinson (Seekonk, MA/LaSalle Academy) was outstanding in the novice flat division notching a first place finish while newcomer Hannah Chandler DeVos (Masconomet, MA/Masconomet) captured a first place finish as well in the advanced walk-trot-canter division.
The Mount Ida College women's equestrian team will compete in the University of New Hampshire show this coming Saturday, March 13th.
