MEN'S BASKETBALL DROPS FIRST GNAC BID, Otis Thompson Drops in 14
The Mount Ida College Men’s Basketball team traveled to
Emerson College this past Saturday losing their Great Northeast
Athletic Conference (GNAC) opener by a score of 88-57. The Mustangs
were lead by Junior center Otis Thompson (Gardner,
MA/Gardner) who dropped in a team high 14.
The Mustangs went up by three in the beginning of the game but
Emerson went on an 18-2 run to put the game away early. The Lions
led 46-24 at the half.
Michael Dunham (Salem, NH/Salem) and
Thomas Belton(Springfield, MA/Springfield
Central) were also in double figures for the Mustangs
with 13 and 11 points respectively. It was Mount Ida’s 26
turnovers that proved costly in there first GNAC loss of the
season.
Mount Ida hosts Eastern Nazarene College Tuesday, December 4th at
6:00 p.m.
