Men's Lacrosse Team Heads to Bowdoin College for NCAA Tournament First Round Action
The Mount Ida College Men’s Lacrosse team will head to its
second NCAA Tournament appearance in as many years this Wednesday,
May 7, at Bowdoin College. They received the berth after capturing
their fifth consecutive North Atlantic Conference (NAC)
championship defeating Castleton State College 16-9 this past
Saturday at Mount Ida Athletic Field.
Last season, the Mustangs were awarded with their first ever trip
in program history to the tournament after a fourth consecutive
conference championship. They would head to Middlebury College
taking a first round loss by a score of 21-2.
Fifth year Head Coach Andrew Fink is very
excited to get back to the tournament. “In the beginning of
the year, I told the guys that all we need to do is get back there.
Now that we’re here, the majority of the players that were
involved last year will be more focused and prepared.”
“The team is excited to have another opportunity to compete.
We’re happy to be here getting this second chance and
we’re looking forward to heading Bowdoin,” said Coach
Fink.
The Mustangs will head out to Bowdoin College this Wednesday around
10:45 a.m. There will be a rolling rally outside of the Athletic
Center on campus before the bus departs. Game time will be at 5:00
p.m. at Ryan Field. Click the link above for directions to the
