MEN'S VOLLEYBALL CAPTURES 3-0 WIN OVER HOSTING REGIS

The Mount Ida College men's volleyball team captured their fourth overall victory of the season this Saturday at non-conference Regis College (MA) winning 3-0 by scores of 30-14, 30-19, and 30-12 in Weston, Massachusetts.  The Mustangs, who snapped a three game winning streak on Tuesday night at Johnson & Wales University in conference action, get off the snide and back in the win column improving to 4-5 and remain 2-3 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).

Every Mount Ida men's volleyball player on the roster saw some playing time with freshman Eddie Pinero (Inwood, NY/Lawrence) leading the way statistically with 12 kills and 21 assists.  Junior Thomas Belton (Springfield, MA/Springfield Central) notched seven kills and six digs while senior Shane Wilson (Gloucester, MA/Gloucester) added nine digs.

Freshmen Josh Horrigan (Grafton, MA/Blackstone Valley Regional) and Spencer Hastings (Orlando, FL/Timber Creak) chipped in six kills apiece.

The Mustangs will host GNAC neighboring rival Lasell College Monday night starting at 7:00 p.m.
