MEN'S VOLLEYBALL CAPTURES THIRD STRAIGHT AT FALCONS 3-0

The Mount Ida College men's volleyball team captured their third consecutive victory and their second straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win over hosting Albertus Magnus College, 3-0, by scores of 30-10, 30-18, and 30-23 Saturday afternoon in New Haven, Connecticut. The Mustangs improve to 3-4 overall, 2-2 in league play.
Every player on the roster saw court time led by freshman Spencer Hastings (Orlando, FL/Timber Creak) and Josh Horrigan (Grafton, MA/Blackstone Valley Regional) adding seven kills apiece and combining for six digs. Hastings also tallied three service aces.
Junior Thomas Belton (Springfield, MA/Springfield Central) continued his solid overall play chipping in four kills, four service aces, and three solo blocks. Mustang freshman Ross Florexil (Lake Worth, FL/Lake Worth) chipped in five kills and a solo block while sophomore McCoy Arnoux (Brockton, MA/Brockton) added six kills and two solo blocks.
Mount Ida freshman setter Eddie Pinero (Inwood, NY/Lawrence) rounded out a solid overall week with 17 assists and seven service aces along with four kills.
The Mustangs will travel to Johnson & Wales University this coming Tuesday night in Providence, Rhode Island for another GNAC match-up starting at 7:00 p.m.
