WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DROPS TENTH CONFERENCE LOSS OF THE SEASON ON SENIOR DAY, Mustangs led by senior Lauren Hickey and sophomore Cherie Parisi
On Senior Day, the Mount Ida College Women’s Basketball team dropped their tenth loss to Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) number two seed Suffolk University 69-52. The Mustangs would round out the season going 6-19 overall, 3-10 in the GNAC while the Rams bettered to 18-7, 11-2 in league play.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DROPS NINTH CONFERENCE GAME AGAINST ALBERTUS MAGNUS COLLEGE, 81-61
The Mount Ida Women’s Basketball team lost this past Saturday on the road against Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent Albertus Magnus College. MIC drops their ninth in the GNAC for a league record of 2-9 and 6-18 overall.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DROPS EIGHTH CONFERENCE BID OF THE SEASON, Sophomore Cherie Parisi Nets 13th double-double
Mount Ida College Women’s basketball team traveled to rival and neighboring institution Lasell College last night to play in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match-up losing 37-63. This will drop the Mustangs to 3-8 in the GNAC, 6-17 overal while the Lasers will improve their record to 4-7 in league play, 6-16 on the season.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DROPS TO SIMMONS COLLEGE ON THINK PINK DAY, 92-82, Senior Lauren Hickey Nets 31
In a back and forth battle the entire game, Simmons College squeaked out a 92-82 win in the closing minutes against the Mustangs on “Think Pink” day at Mount Ida Athletic Center this Saturday. The victory gives the Sharks some breathing room for a conference tournament bid bettering their overall record to 9-12, 5-5 in the GNAC while MIC drops down to 6-15 on the year, 3-7 in league play.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DROPS TO NUMBER ONE CONFERENCE SEED EMMANUEL COLLEGE
The Mount Ida Women’s basketball team dropped their sixth Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game to Emmanuel College 94-65 this past Wednesday at the Mount Ida Athletic Center. The Mustangs are now 3-6 in the GNAC and 6-15 overall as Emmanuel improves to 9-0 in the GNAC and 16-5 overall.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TAKES THIRD GREAT NORTHEAST ATHLETIC CONFERENCE (GNAC) AGAINST ST. JOSEPH COLLEGE (CT), Lauren Hickey Nets Career High 26
Senior shooting guard Lauren Hickey (Enosburg Falls, VT/Richford) would net a career high 26 points including six from three point land to give her team the 70-62 victory at St. Joseph College (CT) this past Saturday in West Hartford, CT. The Mustangs would better their record to 6-14 overall, 3-5 in league play giving them the jump into eighth place in the conference.

The Mount Ida College Women’s Basketball team hosted Emerson College this Thursday losing 83-61 handing the Mustangs their fifth Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) loss of the year. MIC would drop their record to 5-14 overall, 2-5 in the GNAC while the Lions would improve to 10-9, 5-2 in league play.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TAKES FOURTH CONFERENCE LOSS, Sophomore Nicole Casimiro Nets 20
The Mustangs traveled to Nashua, NH this past weekend losing 97- 69 in a hard fought battle against Rivier College. This would be Mount Ida’s fourth GNAC loss thus far, and would drop their overall record to 5-13, (2-4 GNAC), while the Raiders would improve to 8-9, (4-3 GNAC).

The Mount Ida College Women’s Basketball team hosted Johnson and Wales University this Monday night losing their second Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match-up in a physical battle on both sides of the ball, 67-56. The Mustangs drop their record to 5-11 overall and 2-2 in the conference while the Wildcats improve to 6-9, 4-1 in the GNAC.

Senior guard Crystal Burgess (Lowell, MA/Lowell Regional Tech.) led the charge for the Mustangs this Tuesday night with 19 points and seven steals to give her team the 76-65 victory against Daniel Webster College. Mount Ida would improve their record to 5-9 overall and a perfect 2-0 record in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).

Senior guard Lauren Hickey (Enosburg Falls, VT/Richford) enjoyed another stellar performance netting 15 points and five steals while the Mustangs cruised to a 73-54 win this past Saturday at Pine Manor College. The victory would be their fourth of the season and their first ever win against a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent.

Senior guard Lauren Hickey (Enosburg Falls VT/Richford) carried the Mustangs netting a career high 21 points only for her team to come up short losing 68-61 against Framingham Sate College this Thursday. The Rams led by a whopping 23 in the second half, but Mount Ida would chip away to make it close in the end. The Mustangs drop their record to 3-9 with their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference(GNAC) match-up of the season this weekend.

They would finish off Wheelock College in a tough back and forth battle with four lead changes, 63-52, improving their record to 3-8 overall.

Becker College hit a lay-up in the paint with 17 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Hawks to an 87-83 win over Mount Ida College. The Mustangs drop their record to 2-5 while the Hawks improve to 3-3 on the season.

The Mustangs had four players in double digit figures including one double-double. Mount Ida betters their record to 2-4 on the season while the AmCats drop to 1-6.

The Mount Ida College Women’s Basketball team suffered a tough loss to Lesley University this past Thursday losing 83-60. The game was evenly matched throughout the entire first half, but the Lynx pulled away in the second out scoring the Mustangs 46-24 for the victory.

The Mount Ida College Women’s Basketball team tallied their first win of this season at home against Bay Path College tonight winning 81-60. Junior guard Elise McLear (Swansea, MA/Case) had a career game with 24 points and six assists leading her team to victory. The Mustangs leave the game with a 1-3 record while the Wildcats go home and lick their wounds at 1-2.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DROPS TWO AT KEENE STATE TOURNEY, Mustangs to host Westfield State this Tuesday
The Mount Ida College Women’s Basketball team lost both games this past weekend in the Keene State College 12th Annual PC Connection Tip-Off Tournament in Keene, NH Friday and Saturday afternoon. The Mustangs dropped to the Owls of Keene State by a score of 94-45 and headed to the Consolation game against Castleton State. They would lose on day two on a nail biter, 58-59 making them 0-2 to start the season.
