MUSTANGS LOSE AT LESLEY UNIVERSITY, Cherie Parisi Nets 18

The Mount Ida College Women’s Basketball team suffered a tough loss to Lesley University this past Thursday losing 83-60. The game was evenly matched throughout the entire first half, but the Lynx pulled away in the second out scoring the Mustangs 46-24 for the victory.

The Mustangs were led by Sophomore forward Cherie Parisi (South Attleboro, MA/Attleboro) as she netted 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, seven of them offensive. Parisi was solid from the line too, hitting six of seven free throws. Mount Ida also had a strong performance fromElise McLear (Swansea, MA/Case) who was in double-digit points with 10 and also contributed defensively with three steals. With the loss, Mount Ida falls to 1-4 (0-0 GNAC) on the season and will take on Anna Maria College on December 1 at home.
