Second Season
Jack Casey is entering his second season has the Head Coach for the Women's Basketball program. He will oversee all aspects and responsibilities of the team.
Casey comes to the Mustangs after an eight year stint with the Simsbury High School girl's basketball program where he compiled an overall record of 87-86 in the state's largest school class (LL). He has directed 11 players who have gone onto play women's basketball at the Division I through III college level.
He is the founder and camp director for the Next Level Girls' Basketball Training camp in Simsbury, CT for the past seven years. This is a unique basketball experience for girls' in grades 4-12 who are coached by current and former Division I and professional players, many of whom were members of the University of Connecticut women's basketball program.
Casey is also in his 13th year as the Program Director for the Dan Doyle Kingswood-Oxford Skill Development camp in West Hartford, CT. A full day co-ed camp ranging from ages 5-14 that provides each camper with individual instruction and a specific Skills Development program.
Casey received a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was a member of the varsity men's basketball team for four years and served as captain his senior year while receiving scholar-athlete honors.
Casey will also be a coach-in-residence in the new residence
hall at the college.

First Season
Leah Lipschitz will be entering her first season as Assistant Coach for the Mount Ida College women's basketball program. She will work along side second year Head Coach Jack Casey and assist in all aspects of the program.
As a collegiate student-athlete, Lipschitz spent her first two years as a scholarship player for the Boston University Terriers from 2004-2006. She eventually transferred to Emmanuel and finished her college career with the Saints in the spring of 2008.
This will be Lipschitz's first coaching experience at the collegiate level after a very successful playing career between BU and Emmanuel. She started her coaching career at Archbishop Molloy High School in Briarwood, New York where she served as the Assistant junior varsity coach and as a Volunteer Assistant for the varsity squad in 2008. Lipschitz developed and arranged competition schedules, programs, and game strategies. She also worked closely to evaluate athletes' skills and performance to determine fitness levels and potential as future players.
Through her professional life outside of basketball, Lipschitz
is a Personal Fitness Trainer at the Bell Plaza Sports Club in
Bayside, New York where she evaluates individuals' abilities,
needs, and physical condition to develop suitable training
programs. Lipschitz graduated from Emmanuel in 2008 with a
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology concentrating in Health Psychology
and Counseling.
