WOMEN'S LAX BLANKS HOSTING ELMS 16-0 FOR THIRD STRAIGHT

The Mount Ida College women’s lacrosse team notched their third straight victory of the season over hosting Elms College Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Leary Field in Chicopee, Massachusetts.  Mount Ida junior Danielle Chuba (Wrightstown, NJ/N. Chuba scored all seven of her goals in the first 30 minutes of play, including the first three and final three of the period to help Mount Ida stake a 10-0 lead at intermission.

The Mustangs’ Jen Thompson (Easton, MD/Easton), who registered two goals in the opening frame, added two more in the second stanza. Stephanie Hill (Madison, CT) and Becky Tisbert (Cambridge, VT/Lamoille Union) each found the back of the net twice in the second half to cap the scoring for Mount Ida.

Alexandra Sarno (East Patchogue, NY) scored a goal and assisted on another, while Hill finished with an assist and a game-high 10 draw controls to highlight the winning effort.
