  • Mustangs Wrap-Up Season with Win Over Pine Manor

    NEWTON, Mass. -- The Mount Ida women's soccer team was able to cap off a resurgent 2017 season with a 1-0 win over the visiting Pine Manor Gators on a cold and rainy Thursday night on Alumni Field. The Mustangs finish the season with a 8-9 overall record and a 3-8 record in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action. 
  • Women's Soccer Honors Senior Class, Falls to Simmons to End GNAC Play

    NEWTON, Mass. -- Mount Ida women's soccer lost a heartbreaking 1-0 match to the visiting Sharks of Simmons College in Saturday night action at Alumni Field. Needing a win to sneak into postseason play, an unlucky bounce of the ball found the back of net in the 84th gave the Sharks the game-winning goal and helped them clinch the 6th seed in Great Northeast Athletic Conference playoffs. Before play began, Mount Ida honored the careers of seniors Hailey Serino (Northwood, N.H.), Rachel Lambert (Lebanon, Conn.), Morgan Rzonca (Bristol, Conn.), Hannah Lilac (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.), and Heather Pollock (Middlton, Mass.). These five seniors have helped guide the program and set a foundation for future success.
  • Young Guns Lead Mustangs Attack, Hold Nighthawks to Shutout

    NEWTON, Mass. -- The Mount Ida women's soccer team snapped a five-game losing streak by beating the Newbury Nighthawks 3-0 on a frigid night at Alumni Field. The Mustangs were led by a duo of freshman, Skylah Caruso (Plainville, Mass.) and Alyson Eldridge (Chesterfield, N.H.), who were constantly able to put pressure on the short-handed Nighthawks defense. With the win, the Mustangs move to 7-8 overall and remain at 3-7 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action, while Newbury falls to 2-13-1 overall and 1-4-1 in NECC play. 
  • Schojan's Hat-Trick Downs Mustangs in Non-Conference Action

    MEDFORD, Mass. – Sunday afternoon action saw the Mount Ida College Mustangs fall to the host Fisher Falcons 5-1 in non-conference action at Medford High School. The Mustangs were unable to slow the offensive attack of the Falcons, led by senior Forward Julia Schojan (Rochester, N.Y.), who paced the hosts with a hat-trick. 
  • Mustangs Fall to Lasers in Crosstown Battle

    NEWTON, Mass. – The battle for Newton saw the visiting Lasell College Lasers take down the Mount Ida Mustangs in GNAC action Wednesday Night at Alumni Field 5-0. Mount Ida falls to 6-7 overall and 3-7 in GNAC competition, while the Lasers move to 7-4 overall and 7-1 in conference play.
  • Mustangs Struggle Offensively, Fall to Saints 3-1

    Boston, MA -- Saints junior forward Kayla Generis (Wethersfield, Conn.) collected three points on a goal and an assist to power Emmanuel College past Mount Ida College 3-1 Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer action at Roberto Clemente Field. The Mustangs were unable to contain Generis and the Saints forwards as they fall to 6-6 overall and 3-6 in GNAC competition, while Emmanuel moves to 6-6-1, and 4-1-1 in conference play.
