The Mount Ida College women's tennis team dropped a non-conference bid to visiting Newbury College Saturday afternoon in Newton, Massachusetts. 

Doubles:

1. Jen Swafford and Alex Derderian (Newbury) def. Danielle Riley and Kayla Horton (Mount Ida) had to retire (default due to injury) Mount Ida

2. Sarah Harris and Julie MacLeod (Newbury) defeated Anna Mason and Trisha Quinn (Mount Ida) 8-1

After a postponement against visiting Albertus Magnus College Sunday afternoon due to rain, the Mustangs will host non-league Gordon College Tuesday afternoon with match time slated for 3:00 p.m.
