WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO NON-LEAGUE GORDON COLLEGE

The Mount Ida College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 loss to Gordon College Monday afternoon in Newton, Massachusetts non-league play for their sixth consecutive loss. 

The Mustangs fall to an overall record of 1-9 and remain at 0-3 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.   

 

DOUBLES:

1. Lily Drescher and Sarah Hickey (Gordon) defeated Kayla Horton and Julia Pagliuca (Mount Ida) 8-5

2. Jessie Dupre and Eva Kenna (Gordon) defeated Anna Mason and Trisha Quinn (Mount Ida)( 8-0

3. Rachel Kauffman and Lourdes Rojo (Gordon) defeated Kaytlen Putnam and Despina Najarian (Mount Ida) 8-0

SINGLES:

1. Lily Drescher (Gordon) defeated Kayla Horton (Mount Ida) 6-3, 5-7, (4) (Coaches agreed to have players play a 10 point super tiebreaker ( Score was 10-4) in lieu of third set after Gordon College clinched 5 matches.)

2. Sarah Hickey (Gordon) defeated Anna Mason (Mount Ida) 6-0, 6-0

3. Jessie Dupre (Gordon) defeated Julia Pagliuca (Mount Ida) 6-0, 6-0

4. Hannah Damon (Gordon) defeated Kaytlen Putnam (Mount Ida) 6-0, 6-0

5. Murielle Rerfort (Gordon) defeated Despina Najarian (Mount Ida) 6-0, 6-0

6. Venetia Breene (Gordon) defeated Trisha Quinn (Mount Ida) 6-0, 6-0

Mount Ida will travel to GNAC foe Anna Maria College Friday afternoon with match time slated for 3:00 p.m.
