STEPHANIE SAITO HONORED TO GNAC SECOND TEAM

Senior captain Stephanie Saito (West Linn, OR/West Linn) has been selected to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) second team all-conference for women's volleyball this 2008 season. This is Stephanie's second consecutive year being honored with this award. She has now been selected to an all-conference team ever year during her four year tenure as a Mustang.

Saito had an outstanding year switching from a setter to the libero in the beginning of the season. In 106 games played, she tallied 475 digs, the most among anyone on the team throughout the year. She also was an integral part of the serving game notching 43 service aces throughout 2008 good for second on the team. As a former setter, Saito was third overall with 124 assists. She is now fifth overall in the season record books as fifth overall for digs/game with 4.48. Stephanie was a vocal leader and as captain took command of the team pushing them towards a playoff berth.

Stephanie also received the sportsmanship award for the GNAC which is given to one individual on each team affiliated with the conference and exudes fair play and respect to opponents.
