WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES EIGHTH IN FULLER INVITATIONAL
The Mount Ida College women's cross country team competed in the Mass. Maritime Academy Travis J. Fuller Invitational this past Saturday coming in eighth place as a team gaining 226 overall points. The top finisher for the Mustangs was freshman Jeileen Rivera (Springfield, Massachusetts/Springfield Central) coming in 36th place out of 90 runners crossing the finish line with a time of 22:41.
Freshman Renee Desmarais (Manchester, NH) finished in 62 place with a time of 25:39, good for 42 individual points. Captain Liz Menensale (Beverly, MA/Beverly) finished in 65th with a time of 26:07 tallying 45 points. Sophomore Melissa Fuller (Woburn, MA/Woburn) cross the finish line in 75th place at 27:48 notching 53 points. Junior captain Christa Wozmak (Auburn, NH/Auburn) came in 80th place with a time of 29:01 totaling 57 points and freshman Mairend Coleman (Cranston, RI/Cranston) finished in 90th place with a time of 34:04 and 67 points.
The Mustangs will race at UMass-Dartmouth this coming Saturday.
